- Record 3 different synth tape tracks, then lower the pitch by an octave
- Add a long Mother reverb
- Open Ableton Live
- Add a Soundtoys Crystallizer - going into a Valhalla Supermassive
- Play random notes on the last 4 tape tracks of the OP-1 Field

Jamuary n.03 | Novation Peaks into Beads | Eurorack and Synthesizer 📻

"I absolutely love Novation Peak.
This AWESOME synth is able to create any sound I think of.

In this jam, a very simple loop is previously recorded, and then played, into Beads, who is modulating itself using its brilliant attenurandomizers.
Then the magic.
I played some chords with the Peak using its nice sounding reverb (and delay too) to create a dreamy soundscape.
In Ableton I simulated a cassette recorder with my beloved SketchCassette plugin.

So we just have to listen.

(I've recently noticed some 'sample rate errors', such as high frequency pops and glitches. but I like them, I'm sorry not to be sorry..)"

Jamuary n.02 | Fender Stratocaster meets Beads and Desmodus Versio | Eurorack Guitar Jam 🎸

"These days I had some time to play my guitar , in order to explore my new pedalboard and get it to communicate with my modular system.

The idea behind this simple jam is very simple.
A loop recorded inside Beads is processed by Melotus Versio (double granulation, hell yeah!) while I'm playing some major/suspended chords through Desmodus Versio.

Jamuary n.01 | Just Friends, Rings and Desmodus Versio | Eurorack Western story 📜

"Hellow 2023 :)
#jamuary is already going on and I'm ready to share with you my first western-ish soundscape!

So basically I'm controlling Just Friends and Rings v/Oct with Ableton, using Endorphin.es Shuttle Control as a USB to CV Converter.
Ableton Push is the main MIDI Controller, providing notes, arpeggios.
Just Friend is in FLOOM mode (LOVE IT!), its amp section is controlled by Zadar and modulated by Stages with some LFOs. Desmodus and Ruina Versio are the FX's for this main voice.
In the background, Rings is simulating a sort of acoustic guitar, reverberated and granulated by Monsoon.
A noisy/tape loop added in Ableton as a finishing touch.

"Just Friends in FLOOM mode is incredible.
I’d like to spend few words for this really simple patch.
JF 1v/oct receives some randomic cv from uO_c, randomly triggered by my beloved @busy Pamela’s New Workout.
Plaits in chords mode (WTF) modulates the FM input on JF (WTF pt.2).
Monsoon for the long awesome reverb, modulated by a rampy LFO from @mutable Stages (Position).

Sometimes keeping it simple is the key.

"This is about VCA modulation. 🎛

How much I love changing with my hands the level on the stereo image using differente LFOs.
And this is what I’m doing here!
Belong from Barcode script is sending the main sawtooth-ish noisy drone sound to the entire system, heavy modulated by two different LFO’s from @mutable Stages. @noiseeng Desmodus Versio is always at the end of my patches, because of its incredible power in creating the magical atmosphere I always need.

That’s it, simple but effective.

Let's dive into this first soundscape

Here you can hear "Fall", an incredibly sounding script from @Ambalek _: pink noises and triangle waves meet the magical flavor of @Noise Engineering Desmodus Versio, creating the main atmosphere of the jam.
@mutableinstruments Plaits is going into Beads, both modulated by Monsoon Looping Dealy for some juicy little distant grooves on the stereo field.
I just love this combo.

There’s a lot going on here.

Basically, @qubitelectronix Bloom is sending CVs to the @mutableinstruments Tides V/oct IN, acting as the 'chord machine'.
Beads is sampling something I can’t remember tbh, transforming it in this glassy sound and receiving modulation on Shape and Time from Stages: this means groove.
Rings and Monsoon for some tasty stereo movement (old but gold friends)
@noiseeng Desmodus Versio is, as always, the captain of my ambient-washy sea.

Plants play Modular 🪴 w/ SYMBIOTIC

"I’m very happy to introduce you SYMBIOTIC :)

Made by the awesome guys and girls from @spad_electronics , this is a little but powerful utility that converts plants biodata in midi or cv signal! (It also functions as a midi to cv converter). It has a sensitivity knob that you can use to choose the amount of received signal and a setting button allows you to change some interesting stuff (threshold, MIDI channel, note scale and LED brightness).In this way, you just need some cables to easily jam with your plants by just connecting SYMBIOTIC to them!

So in this simple but effective patch, my gorgeous monstera is sending a mutating trigger through SYMBIOTIC to the @qubitelectronix Bloom, who is then sending its 'always-changing' sequence to the @mutableinstruments Plaits V/oct input.
Some lfos from Stages are modulating Data Bender.
Monsoon in Clouds mode is creating the right ambient for this biometric interaction. ✨🌱

It goes straight inside the Prism for some filtering and, at the end of its path, the lonely Surface meets a @Noise Engineering Desmodus Versio creating the magic space. ✨
